I'm pretty new to smoothies. I've always been been more of a morning coffee person, that is until I got adult braces. There's nothing like braces to make you want to consume food with a straw.
I've been experimenting with several recipes, using what is in season or readily available. I'm currently on the hunt for a good juicer. Lusting over a vitamix! I find lately I've been craving carrot and ginger, and I really want to try some new green smoothie recipes.
But the Banana Raspberry Smoothie is something that's on constant rotation in our house. I just love the sweet tartness of raspberries and I always have a stash in the freezer, along with a swag of bananas.
Banana raspberry smoothie 2 small bananas - peeled and diced 1/2 raspberries (I use frozen ones) 1/2 cup of natural yoghurt 1/2 - 1/4 cup of rice milk (or any other variety of milk) 1/2 teaspoon of chia seeds
Method Put all the ingredients into a blender. I find raspberries on the bottom works best. Blitz, pour and enjoy!
